A mini pizza is a fun and easy recipe for pizza night. Make a large quantity and freeze it for a cold-pizza breakfast.

In our home, we are huge pizza fans. My kids seem to want pizza at least twice a week. I make homemade pizza so that we can eat it whenever we want. While we like grilling pizza with a sourdough crust, I enjoy experimenting with different pizza toppings, experimenting with new dough recipes, and downsizing our pizzas.

One of the nicest parts of learning how to cook is that you can convert whatever’s in your fridge into a wonderful, tasty appetiser for friends and family!

These mini two-bite pizzas were easy to make and a huge success, thanks to a batch of freshly baked pizza dough, mozzarella, sauce, and a couple of my favourite toppings. Well I only got to try one of these, but if there hadn’t been guests to feed, you can bet I’d have gone back for more!

This Easy Mini Pizza Recipe is a great back-to-school snack. When the kids get home from school, they are generally hungry. This quick and easy mini pizza snack is ideal for fueling your kids and keeping them pleased until supper.

The trick to this easy mini pizza recipe is to use little street taco flour tortillas as the pizza crust. These adorable mini tortillas are just about 4 inches across and crisp up when cooked.

What are “mini pizzas”?

Mini pizzas are simply that: smaller, hand-held pieces of pizza that may be topped however you wish. They are the ideal size for children as well as for homemade frozen pizzas.

The Benefits of Mini Pizzas

A giant pie is fantastic for feeding a crowd, but so are a number of smaller pizzas. Mini pizzas have a lot going for them:

They are single servings. They are readily customisable. They are portion regulated. They may be stored in the freezer!

Serving Suggestions

A mini pizza is a tasty snack or appetiser. These pizzas, along with sausage-stuffed mini peppers and an easy veggie tray, would make an excellent cocktail party. They make a quick and easy lunch or dinner. Serve it with a green salad.

Cooked and ready-to-eat pizzas can be frozen—Bake the pizzas according to the recipe and allow them to cool fully on a rack. To serve, just reheat in a warm oven, toaster oven, or microwave until hot.

Rather than baking the pizzas, put the pan in the freezer and keep it there until you’re ready to eat it. When the pizzas are completely frozen, take them from the pan and stack them between layers of patty paper or waxed paper. Place the stacks in a zip-top freezer bag or food box and place in the freezer. To serve, bake from frozen, adding a minute or two to the cooking time if necessary.

I prefer to make my own pizza dough because there’s something magical about seeing a handful of basic ingredients transform into a fluffy, cloudlike ball of bready deliciousness! Plus, you can add dried herbs or shredded cheese to give it a bit more flavor than the store-bought stuff.

They were added to the pizza, along with freshly grated ribbons of shredded mozzarella and a swirl of my favorite spaghetti sauce. You may either use pizza sauce or make your own!

After around 10 minutes in the oven, these boiling hot beauties were ready to eat — and boy, did they go quickly!

Get inspired by a variety of inventive topping options below, including new meats, veggies, cheeses, and more. I like to experiment with diverse flavours, and pizza is a perfect canvas for doing so!
